Hi,
My club, Sequoia Yacht Club, is hosting a Pacific Coast Regatta for
the Radio Controlled Laser class July 25-27th.
If you've never sailed or raced an RC laser and are interested
in competing we should be able to set you up with a boat.
The full scale Laser was designed by Bruce Kirby in 1969. It is now a
huge worldwide class mostly because of the revolutionary class rule
that guaranteed its phenomenal growth and stability. It has recently
been selected as an Olympic class one man racing sailboat.
The RC Laser was also designed by Bruce Kirby, and produced by Jon
Elmaleh of Out There Technologies, in 1995. This model is licensed
from Bruce Kirby, and carries the same requirement of a strict
worldwide class rule as did the original Laser.
