Does the subject sound appealing? It does to me, I wish hitec would make metal gear sets for the hs55. Anyone know of a set that would work in this servo?

No plans for a metal geared HS-55 but we will be using the new Karbonite gears in more and more servos in the near future. Karbonite gears are four times stronger than standard nylon and weight about the same. If we were to add metal gears to the 55's they would be as heavy as HS-81's. I would suggest that if you are stripping them on a consistant basis that you are using the wrong servo (or crashing too much! :))
