I just acquired 2 Kyosho LeMans 600E racing motors. These were in an old
racing boat from the 80's. I believe the 600 meant they would run 600
seconds, presumably on a 1200 mAh battery which was likely the typical of
those times back in the 1980's. Does anyone know the number of turns and
power or other specs (RPM) of these motors?
Thanks,
JD

Could be anything from about 17 turns to 27 turns .. and normally singles ..
;) The cans used to be excellent and I used to use Reedy comms in Lemans
cans for a few years .. very good combination at the time .. ;)

600 was the size of the motors can, like a 540 or speed 400.

The motor name was the estimated runtime on a standard
battery(7.2V 1200mAH), with the ST being stock with bushings and S the
modified version, I don't know about the "E" . The 600 was the longest
running, 10 minutes(600 seconds), probably equivalent to a 27t stock motor.
The 240 was the hottest motor they had, about 4 minute runtime, enough for a
standard length race on the batteries of the day.
Note that the Kyosho 360 is the 550 can size (the 240,480,600s are all
540can)
