Hi gang,

I had FMS working at one point. That is to say I had the interface working at one point. I'm using a JR tx and use the line input method of interface. Well, that will no longer recognize my tx in any sane fashion. The best I can get is random jittery movements and that's taking into account that I've tried calibration and the smartpropo software.

So....

I picked up a cord from ebay that goes into the joystick port, and get absolutely no response off of that. It just says "not connected" or "not responding" or some such under the game controllers menu no matter what my settings or connection.

I've been itching to fly FMS again

Help!

What operating system ? Is the joystick port interface specified to work with JR 'cus the signal from them is a lot weaker than most of the other systems ? Which "games controller" menu, Windows or FMS ? You know you need to calibrate in Windows before telling FMS you're on joystick ?

Of course the best advice is to contact whoever sold you the interface.

Steve, sorry for not filling in some blanks earlier. I'm running Win XP. The "game controller" menu is the windows one through the control panel. Everything I've done is pre-FMS as I know I need to set it up in windows first. The cable is indeed meant for JR transmitters as they have a unique trainer cable attachment.

I will be in contact with the supplier, too :)

One thought, I have seen joystick interfaces that will only work as the first controller so if you have any other joysticks enabled it may be worth moving the FMS interface up to controller 1.
