My HS55 is wacko!!!

My HS55 servo, from ym Sky scooter, went nuts when I took it out of the Skooter. When I plug it into a GWS/Hitec/Futaba receiver, it twirls, in a full 360 degrees, non stop. What's wrong, and is it worth sending in?

Sounds like the mechanical stop or the feedback pot is broken.

If you're up to some delicate repair work, remove the four screws at the bottom of the case and the servo arm on top. Carefully open the top of the case and note the position of the gears and shafts. Examine the gears with a magnifying glass for the tiniest sign of damage. Replace damaged parts and reassemble. Repair kits are readily available and cheap. If you don't want to try it yourself or screw it up trying send it to hitec. It'll be lots cheaper than a new one.
