I am looking at the PJS 1000 for my Wattage Ultimate bipe, and wonder if there is a CC controller (my favorite brand) that will work well with that motor. (pulls 18-23 amps)
I note that the Jeti is specifically mention NOT to use with the motor, which is why I want to ask - specifically - about using a CC controller with the PJS.
Tried it out on one? Guesses? :)
Thanks,
Another happy 'user',

Terry,
We're getting in the entire H-L line of outrunners to test w/our controllers in the next day or two.
There is a known issue when you run outrunners at high cell counts, and/or near the performance limit of the motors. What we're hearing is that they get up to 80% throttle or so, and then drop rpm, become slightly erratic, or cut out. Patrick tells me it will be a relatively simple "umbrella" fix in the software for all outrunners most likely available in mid/late July.
If you ran it on say - 7 cells and max draw of 18A or so, you'd most likely be OK, or you could wait for the fix and be able to "max it out".

Shawn,
Thanks - will look for future postings here, as to Patrick's machinations.
