Well, I don't know much about electrics, but I DO know that for that knind of power, you'll need a brushless motor

A Hacker C40 12T geared on 10 cells will give you all kinds of power, vertical and/or howering. It's the usual E3D set-up.
A Kyosho Endoplasm brushed motor will too.

Yeah... the hacker b50 w/ a nice gearing conbo has been used on that size plane before for 3d. A few months back AMA published an article on their aerobatics collumn about a setup like that... may be able to get it from their site.
Or... you could be a cheapo and save alot of money by getting a Astro 40 brushed cobalt with the right gearing.\
The hacker will surpass what you want (mega effecient long run times and lots of power), but will cost alot ($250+?). The cobalt will cot alot less.
Try the Ezone Motor & Battery forum for people who know alot more than me about that stuff, as I can't afford it.

The other option is to get a potensky cobra or T3D. Rather than spending $300+ on a power system, you could get the whole kit plus the power system for like $150 and have full 3d capability. Plus, the setup would be more convenient due to it's size and the Cobra is EPP to withstand virtually anything.
