Hi all,
I have a Pegasus 35 and it seems to do some odd things on start up. When I first plug in my flight pack (8 cells) the servos (2 HS -81) momentarily stall at full throw, then they jump to neutral. Then the motor (speed 400) comes on for fraction of a second.
Is this behavior typical or can something be done?
Thanks,
Cole

Hmmmm... That's sounds like the receiver is doing something odd on power-up. Have your tried a different receiver?

Patrick,
I tried some other receivers.
A duplicate of the original (this is a hitec 4 channel single conversion) one did the same thing.
A Berg 5*DSP and hitec 3500 still made the servos move, but not as far.
A Cirrus 4 channel feather slightly moved only one servo.
All of them made the prop jump after the ESC made a quiet beep-beep.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Cole

The prop twitch at powerup is normal (this is a visual arming indication,) but it shouldn't do anything but twitch. If it's coming on and turning the motor more than 1/2 turn or so, then that isn't normal.
As far as the servos moving, the controller can't do that, there is no connection between the controller and the servo signal line. The receiver has control of that.
