5-cell receiver pack parallel to ESC

Would plugging in a 5-cell receiver battery pack in parallel to a Phoenix ESC cause any problems?

Hmmmm.... I wouldn't try it without disabling the BEC. If you disable the BEC, no problem. There is a chip on the Phoenix board that generates the 10V drive for the FETs that has a maximum input voltage of 5.5V, and with a 5 cell pack you would probably exceed that and damage the controller.

Can I do the same with a 4 cell 110 mah rx pack?

I want to use the BEC on a Phoenix 25 with a 12 cell pack and 4 GWS sub micros.

I figured I could get away from the hi cell count BEC limitations by having a buffering RX pack.

Please advise.
