View Full Version : TC3 Rally Conversion Kit?

Has anyone installed the #3020 Rally Conversion Kit for their RC10TC3? If so,
what are your impressions of it?
I'm basically a guy with a TC3 touring kit that is looking to do more jumps
and such -- as opposed to on-road racing. Is the rally kit a good way for me
to go? Or would I be better off to try to go to an actual off-road buggy or
truck of some sort?
Basically, I'll be driving it on dirt roads, off curbs, through grass, and
other such things. Is the rally kit a good solution for me for that? Or not
really?
Thanks!

You could order the Durango 4WD buggy upgrade kit for the TC3:
http://www.durango.rc10.de/
It's only $1288!!! :-)
Or you can get a slightly more reasonable buggy conversion (the TC3-O)
at

durango IS not a upgrade kit.. its a buggy like any other buggy you can
buy.... it just happens to use some parts from a tc3 because they dont want
to make all those parts themselves, like it uses parts from a schumacher
etc.....
you need a buggy, not a rally car... you'd be better off getting a new buggy
than forking out more converting your tc3 to a 4wd offroader...

After some more research, I think I agree. I'm going to try to sell off my
TC3 kit and just buy a buggy or truck (maybe the HPI Nitro MT?) instead.
Thanks!
