I have a couple unmatched 6 cell GP3300 packs and I'm not sure of the best
way to charge them. I don't know how safe peak detection is with unmatched
cells and one web site I saw said to NEVER trickle charge NiMH cells.
Suggestions?

I'm using NIMH unmatched cells cause we are B Main and Novice class
racers at this point. On new set of cells I charged it at 4amps, let
the pack cool down completely then run it until it was almost depleted,
but not all the way down. After three times of this the pack was running
great and consistent. Not allowing the cells to heat up during charging
was my goal.

I use a Tower hobbies Tower Power 400 Quick charger.
It has an electronic timer that fast charges the NiCds then switches to
trickle for about 8 hours.
Never had a problem with my batteries.
