RAce Management Software

Hi All,
I am in Australia and like most clubs a round here we use Alycat
software & amb transponders.
Now Alycat is cheap but very buggy (no not off-road like -the program
has a lot of bugs) We have just run a major meet & have had numerous
problems.

We are all very frustrated and have decided to change software. What
is everyone using Jlap?, B&B? - which is best?

We at penrith australia purchased and use the slyfox software from
quantum timing. It's an australian company so that's in our favour. we
have had some teething issues but the system once set up, runs ok with
both ambrc transponders as well as personal ones. The new beta
release is coming out soon and we are eagerly awaiting it's arrival.
Hopefully it will be a lot more like jlap - of all that we looked at,
jlap looked the best. we can't vouch for it's stability though.
We are now aware that the computer that is used is quite important
too. Basically, don't skimp on the hardware.
