I had the first of two 70's that had this problem and had it returned to
Os for report only to be told that it had run lean.
I think they were probably right because the second one now runs with
two fully turns on the main needle after being run in on 2 3/4 turns to
start with and not the 2 turns as recommended in the instructions. The
second motor has terrific power and you can put your hand on the bottom
of the motor anytime and feels just warm. Fuel used is home brew 15%
nitro 20% synthetic oil .
Most of the bigger OS motors run better running slightly rich and don't
forget to run dry after every or they are prone to hydro- lock with oil.
