This is a rocket site. It is not my site. Just an easy place to download from.

Summary
This program is actually for Rocket design. I am using it to find the Neutral Point and plan the CG of Canard style park flyers.

It runs under Windows 95, 98 and XP. It has a great graphical interface. As you descirbe the parts wing, tail and nose a picture of the model is update interactively.

Could those more schooled in Aero design please confirm it gives the correct results for planes.

Background
I found this program a couple of years back while working on rockets. Just last week I though. Hey! rockets and airplanes fly using the same aerodynamic principles. They differ largely in the CG to Neutral point distance.

Rockets have the CG more forward of the NP (they call it Center of Pressure) than airplanes.

Usage
Download it and intall it accoring to the simple instructions.

Airplane wings and elevators are though of as fins on a rocket. Always declare 4 fins in a set. The Plan View of the rocket will show 2 fins just like the plan view of an airplane shows 2 wings.

You never define a fuselage. It is the diameter at the root of the wing (fin).

You never define the rudder. The program is only good for longitudinal (sp?) stability.

When entering wings (fins) the program wants the dimensions of a half wing. If the wing span is 40 inch the fin's span is 20 inch.

The program also offers the MAC values.

Conclusion.
Try it out and tell us what you think. If I am wrong I would like to know that this tools gives bad results.

Mitch,
I downloded your rocket program but have not learned to use it yet. Meanwhile try my program "Pitchstab"; it should do what you want in the pitch axis only.
