The Flash 5 is a 5CH.
Can you make the model in FMS do anything ?, if so, go back to that pic I posted and skip steps 3, 4, 5,+ 6. Go right to '7' and you can adjust and change direction in there.

Yep I did that....ok back to when I calabrated my tx......Now when I did that (not with the FMS opened...I am talking to have the computer read my TX setup in windows) In windows xp it is under game controls........When I did that.....it read the rudder as throttle..and the throttle was not even read.......... and left was right.....but it did read everything.........then I get on FMS and everything is screwed..I am sorry this is so confusing....

Have you tried looking on FMS's own forum at http://cgi.ethz.ch/~mmoeller/cgi-bin/ikonboard3/ikonboard.cgi
There's been some discussion of XP problems over there but I don't remember the solutions cus I don't run Win XP.

Thanks Steve
I did go to the forum and even posted, but didn't get any response.
Sigh!
I have just about given up. It worked real well with my old PC with XP, but when I upgraded, everything got better, except for FMS!

I've found that when I use a plane that does not have a sound file, FMS will lockup sometimes. This is under Windows XP with a serial interface to a Focus 4 transmitter. If I use one of the stock planes, or a downloaded plane that has all the files (preview image, sound, etc.) I find it is much more reliable.

Count the numbar of *.par files, should be 1 for each plane. The rest are support files.

Hi,
I just downloaded and installed FMS for the first time on my XP machine and have problems with it freezing/locking up especially when the plane gets close to the ground. My PC is not old by any means since I am running a 1.6ghz AMD w/ 256MB RAM, and an ATI9700pro 128mb video card. It seems to be running like it is on an old 286 though. Help us please! I tried to access the FMS forums but that part of the web site is down. Maybe I should just buy "Real Flight".

Any ideas?
Yes. This is a very old thread. Have a look in the Simulators forum where this sort of thing has been answered many many times in the last 18 months.

EDIT: I see some helpful moderator has moved this from its original location into the Simulators forum for you so just have a look round "in here" ;).
