Hello,
I would like to know if it is appropriate to install a GV1 in a
Millennium II with the stock plastic cooling fan (by the way, mine was
delivered with a 90 mm diameter plastic cooling fan for a 90 class
engine instead of the classic 80 mm diameter for 60 size engines) or
should I upgrade to an aluminium fan.
(anyway, I plan to install the two magnets to equilibrate the fan).
Thanks for your advice.
Kind regards,
Olivier

Yep, it's a "no problem" installation. A little epozy or cyano is all that's
needed.

Why not install ONE magnet and then remove a little plastic from the fan on
the same side as the magnet. This will return you fan to equilibrium and
you'll have a spare magnet sat where you can store things for safety.
One less magnet in the fan is one less magnet to fall out of the fan, and
it's always good to have a spare.

Absolutely the plastic fan will be Ok.

There's always an option:-) One is to epoxy a nut into the opposing hole,
although drilling another hole on the same side as the magnet you DO fit,
won't kill the fan and the weight difference will be hard to establish
without a really good balancer.
I've only got one magnet in my GV-1 equipped machines anyway.
