Hi,
I found that the boundary layers in some DS sites are not that clear cut, particular when the wind condition is marginal. I wonder if we can put up a wall (glass for us to see thru) in the bounary layer so that there are less turbulance in the deadair zone and more concentrated (higher speed) wind on the downwind leg, can we get a faster DS record?
Please see the top diagram I drawn.
To extend the idea, I think we can also build an artificial DS site anywhere provided that there are enough wind (see the bottom diagram). It is good to have a DS theme park nearby! Of course the pilot must have a better skill to fly through the walls.
