I got a HPI Nitro Rush from my brother and it has the .15FE engine.
It doesn't run and I was wondering what should I do and check for to get
this thing running. The glow plug has been replaced.

Doesn't run... let me ask you, how long have you, or your brother, had
that Rush? Can you pull the pull starter smoothly? How is the idle?
Was it trying to start at all?

I'm new to this so I apologize for being vague. It does pull fairly
smooth. The few times that I had it running, it would idle for a while
and then die and then other times, it would idle smoothly until I shut
it off. Also, the last two times it started, it idled extremely high
and then would die. After the two brief times it idled high, it
wouldn't start. Now she's dead :( any suggestions? Thanks!

not a problem with your description. but it sounds to me like the
compression of the engine is gone. because the engine is fairly easy
to pull and start, that is a good symptom of the lost compression. try
this little expreiment... once you get the car started, try to give it
good amount of throttle and see if the car would run. if the engine
revs but does not go anywhere, it further proves that the compression
is gone.
another thing you can check is to take out the glow plug, look at the
top of the piston, and then see what color it is. brown: engine was
overheat; silver with rough edges: contamination in fuel or stuff got
into engine, probably side walls are torn.
another thing you can also check is the screws that holds the heatsink
to the engine. are they tight enough?

hey both of you need to turn on your attribution.
go back and look at your posts....no one else knows what the heck you're
talking about because there's no reference to what posts you are
replying to.
look at my attribution above...it shows what message I'm replying to,
who posted it and I've selected the specific text I'm replying to. My
newsreader software does this automatically when I'm replying to a post.
I think you guys might be new to newsgroups and/or you are using other
software other than a usenet newsreader to read and post to newsgroups.
I know in groups.google there's a way to turn on attribution, and I'm
assuming on webtv there's a way also.
