XXX-S vs XXX-S Graphite Plus

I am rather new at understanding the major differences between the new
Losi XXX-s graphite Plus and the original Losi XXX-s. If the hop ups
are added to the original XXX-S would it perform just as well as the
new XXX-S Plus? The reason I am asking, is I have been offered a XXX-S
with some hop ups, springs, and only been used about three times for
$125, but I don't know if this is a good deal or should I try to
purchase a new XXX-S Graphite Plus on Ebay. If some one could help me
understand two things, first is this a good deal. Second, would a new
XXX-S Graphite Plus be worth saving for in comparison. The hop ups on
the original XXX-S does not include aluminum shafts...does that
matter?

I have the xxx-s graphite plus and i love the thing. Do you plan on racing
it at a local club, if so i recommend getting the graphite plus because
eventually you'll want to hop it up even more and most of it is all ready
done for u.
