No. No in my opinion anyway. It appears to be quite out of date with
respect to modern helis and techniques. I have it and have read cover to
cover (when I was learning).

A book I really would recommend is :
"A comprehensive introduction to Model Helicopter Aerobatics" by Russ Deakin

Don't let the title scare you as a beginner, this book takes you from
selecting your heli, building, tuning, lot's of good tips, through basic
hover and up to loops, rolls and autorotations.

Good illustrations, lots of pics and diagrams. Published 2000 and reprinted
2002 so it's quite up to date.

I've really learnt a great deal from this book and ended up rebuilding some
of my kit and ended up with a heli in perfect trim on the first hover.

Got my book from www.traplet.com and the price was less than 20£, not
remembering the exact price.

I agree with that. Good book, but misleading title. The aerobatic element
is very limited (which is a shame as that is why I bought it), but the rest
is all good up to date stuff. I wish there was more about engine tuning
though.

Fell in the same trap myself.
Got it to learn Advanced Aerobatics, but turned out to be a great
beginnersbook.

Already got 2 other beginnersbooks, but both of them way out of date. This
title was a great beginnesbook up to date.

But, I agree, misleading title. Will not hit the beginners, and advanced
3d-people will be dissapointed.
