Unfortunately it's a DOS program and won't take kindly to XP. I know
CSM have just released a Windows version of the 560 software so it might
be worth getting in touch to see if they are doing the same for the 540.

or you could try that Parallel port driver for winxp which people are
sucessfully using for FMS Simulator.

try google searching for 'lpt winxp fms' and I'm sure you'll find it.

It's called userport

do a google search for it and you'll find it. Will probably solve your
problem. Also may be worth setting the programs 'compatibility' to 'Windows
98' in the properties as well.

here's just one link to the program:

eh? the Sentinal is a copy-protection dongle. Does it replace the Parallel
port driver with one that allows direct access to the port?
if so, cool! but isn't the generally cited FMS fix a different one anyway?

Yep

Dunno, but I worked out the Sentinel fix about 3 years ago and have used
it successfully for CSM et al with NT and 2K ever since.

problems as yet.
I must admit though that i have not actually connected it to the gyro yet so
i cannot comment any further at this time.
