I have a Quick UK SwashPlate for my raptor 50v2, and have found that the
ball in the center of the swashplate moves up and down about 1/2 a mm.

Is this normal?

Thank you

Richard

It doesn't hurt and it's better than it being too stiff. All it really does
is "centre" the swash on the mast, so if it's ONLY the ball that has the
"play" then don't worry about it, but make sure it IS just the ball and not
the whole top ring of the swash.

If the whole top ring moves up and down, then send it back for a replacement
or it "could" come apart at some point, which you definitely WON'T enjoy:)

Can't you tighten up the QuickUK swashplates using the three set-screws
situated round the edge ? From what I recall, they are there to remove
play, but not sure if affects the 'ball' or just the two main components.

It doesn't affect the ball Andy. The screws are there to take up wear in the
bearing situated in the bottom ring of the swash.

A sloppy ball isn't a big problem if it can't get out of it's sack:-)
