2-Speed trannys

Ok, new idea here. I am going to make my own custom car. I am going to make the chasis out of aluminum (using my new machines, drill press, grinder, sander, exc. :)) I am going to put a 2.5 hp ofna engine in it. A 2 channel futaba radio. use some existing shock system. I am thinking about using the duratrax 2 speed system, as found on the duratrax overdrive ST (I own 1, it'sn sweet) But I do not know if there is something better for this application, something with taller gear ratios maybe?

You will probably get more help if you let us know a little more about the car than "it is 1/8 scale".
