Hi,

I want to build a model helicopter with Rotorblade diameter 1,80m
I want to built it completely myself because I can do it. But the problem is
*where* do I get exact bulding plans from?
When I go to the shop they sell you the parts and the plans.

My main interest for (explosion)-plans are the mechanic from engine to main
rotor and from engine to tail rotor.

So pleeeease can somebody help me where to get exact bulding plans.
Helicopters of interest are Black Hawk,Bell UH1D, Long Ranger, Airwolf, AH64

Your help is highly appreciated!

:)

Mike

Micheal,

I hope you fully realise the enormity of this task. Unlike planes- helis
are precision engineering at its finest. Materials selection and parts
tolerencing is critical in most parts.

Your best bet would be to copy a current production model and produce CNC
milled alloy, nylon delrin or carbon components- but you would be faster and
better to just buy one- an entry level Shuttle at just over £150, you can't
complain there now can you.

Plans for production machines are not readily available- most kits just use
simplified expoloded diagrams to illustrate where the bits goe together.

Regards

GD

Mike,

Perhaps the simplest machine to copy would be the MFA 500- but it's probably
not worth copying. You'll certainly find it ddifficult getting one.
