Using radar

Hi All,

Looks like we are finally going to get a chance to get a radar gun on some DSing models.

I borrowed a bushnell speedster (yes I know about the range issues but its all we have access to at the moment)

Any tips for useage of this radar gun and general use of radar for measuring DS speeds?

With the Bushnell, we found it best to pull and hold the trigger as the plane starts the bottom turn, and track the plane all the way through until it passes you. You should get a readout of the max speed.

We found that it doesn't give the max speed but the last speed. This means you have to watch the display. bit of a pain.

It was amazing the difference that taking the tinted screen off the front of the gun made

You, know, I thought we tried that, and I don't recall it making much difference. Have to try it again.
