I hope you will indulge me by allowing a few final words?

1. As stated a while back I have felt that eflight has/had become a bit
stale and recent threads have pepped things up a bit. I genuinely feel that
they have been 'on topic' and certainly a lot more so than many recent
threads.
2. I really enjoyed Scott's emails. I knew what I was doing when I engaged
in this discussion and feel a bit guilty for exposing him in the way that I
did.
3. At no stage did I complain to the list monitor(s) but I do understand
why others might have done so.
4. During the last few days I have received several private emails from
list members that have been far more insulting than any received from Scott.
One list member in particular objected to me replying to his unsolicited
insults - which I did in a civilised manner. I am willing to accept his
apology off line if he feels the need to do so? I have not blocked his
email address in the way that he has blocked mine.
5. I shall continue to use solid copper for joining my end2end soldered
cells and then relax with a warm beer, but I will not be doing so on this
forum in the future. I have enjoyed the last six years as an eflight
subscriber and have learned a lot from others in that time. I hope I have
been able to give back a small fraction of what I took.

Regrettably, that kind of nonsense has made me gun-shy of engaging in
debates with the likes of Scott. I have received threats in the past from
those that disagreed with my opinion and I am too busy to deal with them at
the moment.

I would like to have learned if Scott's company had actually discovered
anything that would benefit us. I asked him privately about the applications
to brushless motors but didn't get a reply. If he had begun with the
statement about Litz wire and "pulsed DC" the interaction could have
benefited us all.

However, I do not agree that drinking warm beer deserves a flogging. In
my beer drinking days I kept the beer in the garage and what ever the
ambient temp was, was fine with me.

I have a different view.
Mike delivered A LOT of information in the past, that was very helpful
to me. So if he leaves, he leaves a gap behind, at least for me. And I
