Hi,
I'm looking for a way to seal a rotating axle that goes through a
submerged hole on the side of a small boat. The hole is submerged at 1
meter (3,2 feet). The axle is rotating very very slow, it's part of a
robot arm for an AUV (autonomous underwater vehicle).
My shaft (axle) can only be 1 to 3 millimeters (0,03 - 0,1 inches)
thick so I guess I can't use a stuffing box.
Someone told me about a dripless sealing, or just a grease sealing.
What's the best solution?
And where can I find components or manufacturers?
Thanks,
Barton
