I am trying to get a used plane in the air and figured out that the wing rod is not perpendicular to the fuselage. I put a square up against the fuse and adjusted the rod by rotating it so that it was square on one side, I then put the square on the other side and it isn't square on that side. Then I measured the distance from the front of the wing profile on the fuselage to the leading edge of the hole for the wing rod and it is different on the two sides by about 3mm. This has the effect of not allowing the wings to mount flush to the fuselage.

My question is how to repair this. If I enlarge the back of the hole that is too far forward to allow the wing rod to be square, wouldn't the wings be able to rock back and forth during flight? I could try to put some epoxy in that space but I bet it would break out with time. I could try to put fiberglass and epoxy in the space and I might could get some of the glass on the inside of the fuse and that might hold.

I need you guys with some experience to help me out here.

Thanks in Advance

As the other fellow said use the file and make the hole bigger. Then take the rod and wax it up real good. Stick it in and put the mix of micro ballons around it. After it cures twist the rod. It should pop loose easy. Pull it out and sand it flush. I have done this many a time.
