Some threads have touched on this, but I was wondering the best
way...start to finish.

Do you need to mount it outside the heli for the run, or can you leave
it in the bird?

Do you set idle and main rich? any suggestions for number of turns (I
hear 1 1/2 out for the main, 3 in from full open on the idle. Is
this right?)

How long do you let it run? Do you let it sit till the muffler is
cool or shorter?

Do you have to use a muffler or can you use a tuned pipe for break-in?

Thanks...hopefully I can get this rigiht.

I just noticed that no-one's responded, so....

Leave it in, have it out, it's just a choice. I leave it in, coz it's less
farting about.

Not on the idle, but definitely yes on the main needle.

any suggestions for number of turns (I

1-3/4 on the main if it'll stand it without spluttering itself to death. If
it runs at 1-3/4, leave it like that for about 1/4 to 1/2 gallon, then lean
as necessary.

It's close enough.

I let mine run for a tank ful with varying revs. A 10 minute cooling period
is plenty.

You can run-in with either. If you intend using a pipe, fit it and run the
engine in with the pipe installed.

You should do, it's not difficult and you won't damage your engine unless
you let it rev like a twat first time out.

Don't run an ABC or ABN motor too rich to break it in,it needs heat so the
cylinder will expand.
