Hi all. I'm trying to finish up my Escape and I can't find any ball socket linkage for the V-tail that is slop free.
I tried Hobby-Lobby and my LHS and Aero-Model didn't want to help me out.
Anyone know here can I find good ball & socket linkage.
Thanks

The Sullivan locking sleeve ball joints should be what you are looking for.

These spring loaded units are tight and strong. I use them on my Zipper.

Didn't it come with the links? Any Hobby Shop that carries heli stuff should have a nice selection of ball links.

Thanks Ib jensen I'll look into those (although they might be a little big to fit in the end of the fuse).
Ben Diss, I bought my Escape used (well used and partly broken) which is the only way I could have afforded a $1100.00 (choke!) sailplane.
The problem is that the V-tail has 2mm threaded inserts so I need to use metric sized balls but the only sockets I can find are American sized. The metric ball fits loose in the American socket.
I tried the captured ball types but can't get enough throw because of the angle the ball comes out of the v-tail.
I think if I could find a metric socket I'll be in business.

The heli stuff IS metric, that should help.
