View Full Version : when the lake is dry, try land sailing

Greeting sailing enthusiasts! When the lake is dry, or there is no place to
sail your boat, consider shifting to a land sailing craft or ice boat.
Unless your rigging is so complex to make the change impossible, it might be
to your advantage to getting the basic stuff to make a land yacht?

My son's Windjammer uses two-channel Hitc radios and servos that are
identical to those used by water sailors - rudder and winch for sheet
control.

It's just an idea. Take a look at some pictures and see if it makes sense to
you. www.modelsailcars.com

We sail almost every Sunday at Cardiff by the Sea, just a click south of
Solana Beach in the state parking lot (free).

Dude,

The first couple of time you posted this was nice but now it's starting to
look a lot like spam

Aw c'mon, he doesn't post it *that* often and new vistors to this newsgroup
won't see his earlier posting. If it was every week that would be a
different matter.

Oops... looks like I'm screwing up. Just posted another, but has more to do
with the whole sport than just promoting my son's business. Hope this is
acceptable.

I wonder if the Wright Brothers had to go to extremes to get people
interested in flying rather than taking the train or car?

My intention is not to spam, but to inform. If I can't come up with
something new regarding land sailing, I will not post.
