Hi,
Not a lot of action on the sub side of this forum...
Is anyone familiar with the Delta rc sub from Modell Uboot Spezialitaten? http://modelluboot.de/
I'm looking for an easy, not too expensive static sub that I can use has a camera platform to explore the fishies by my dock... I like the Delta a lot, but there is limited info in english and I don't really know what to expect...

That looks like a lot of fun.
I think the reason you don't find many submarine posts here is that the submariners have a really nice website, and BB at this location:
http://www.subcommittee.com/
Someone there should know something.

Hello Eric
I agree with you not a lot of action.....its our duty to give more action to this forum ;)
Anyway, I would be glad to tell you more about this wonderful little submarine.
I am more a war submarine fan, but this Delta is certainly my favourite model . It a very stable platform (for a video camera for example...)
here a pic of mine :

Hi Antoine,
Very nice sub! I left many emails with Model Uboot but never had any replies... Is that where you got yours? What package did you get? How much did the whole project cost you? Did you have any problems with it? I have doing some RC sailing and flying and would love to try subs. I like this model because it looks good to scout around slowly with a video camera near the shores of my lake. It also looks good...
Thanks for giving me some info:)

Salut Eric

Hello Eric
Like you I had a lot of difficulties to contact Bruggen. I did even give up the idea of dealing with him, it is the reason why I found a second hand unfinished Delta.
I know now few germans who can contact Norbert easily.
You must count about 1000 € for a ready to run model. The complete kit costs 623 € (it even includes this so particular bond, Loctite 406 and the ligths set).
I dont know the exchange rate of the $CDN but you will be able to convert yourself.
A video cam can be installed in easily.
Cheers
Antoine.
PS ; I can take more pics of mine if you want to see more.

Salut Antoine,
Merci pour ton aide!
Sur le site de Norbert, le kit complet est listé a 423 euros + 36 vis + 31 éclairage = 490 euros. Y a t'il une nouvelle liste de prix?
Where did you find your used Delta? Is there somewhere I should look?
Merci,
eric

Go to the german pages....you will find a new price with a new combo including the glue, the LEDs (11), the screws, the speed controler, the magnetic switch., the gell sealed battery 12V 2.2 Ah for 623 €
Very interesting price.....if you manage to reach Norbert :)
I found my model by chance. On the net, ebay, someone was selling his and he broke his model before the end of auction so I asked him if it was possible to buy the wreck, he told me no but his cousin would sell his. Lucky I was. Unfinished but the hardest parts were done :) (.......I like detailling !!!)

Matt Munger has Norbert's Delta that he has been working on for a few years. Looks pretty neat. http://www.rc-submarines.com/db74c880.jpg
He also has a couple of Delphins.

I finally ended up buying the Delphin, which I received but have yet to build...
And also bought Antoine's Delta which got a bit of damage in transport. As of yesterday, everything was repaired except for one leak. Hopefully I will be able to move it from my bathtub to my lake in the coming week...

I'm new to this site , is there any one out there , who has built the Delta Sub,
I'm just waiting for delivery of one. I purchased mine from Norbert (Delta subs) in Germany and found him very helpful, contact via this site and phonecalls.
I have'nt built a sub before , so if anyone as any easy info on to wire theis kit would be good, cheers for now.
