my park jet is now a last of a kind, mountain models has stopped making them. i was curious about covering the profile fuse in carbon fiber cloth. I have never worked with carbon cloth and was curious if it will significantly increase the strength in a crash and if it adds alot of weight? any info would be great
here is the only picture i could find

The primary thing that carbon will do is make it very stiff. On your application, it would make it more crash resistant as well......but nothing is indestructible :).

Carbon fiber comes in a woven fabric. 5 oz 2x2 twill fabric would work well. The fabric is saturated with laminating resin while it's applied to the substrate.

Or.....are you talking about laminating the fuse with pre-cured carbon plate??

looks a bit flimsy to cover with carbon cloth.

I think that fuse would make a great candidate for carbon cloth.
