Haven't used that particular one, but I have used the Hyperion DS11AMB on the tail feathers of a New Sting. You'll also find the F5x guys love the tiny DS09 series for their ailerons. That'd be a candidate for a needle. They're all excellent quality devices.

In the UK, get them at http://robotbirds.com, or possibly http://www.hyperion-eu.com/products/

i've been using the smaller DS11's & DS09's in hotliners and small slopers and there great.

dual ball bearings, metal gears, digi, lots of torque, and there super tight.

I've had excellent results with the digital DS09 in my smaller slopers as well. Hyperion designs their own stuff so I doubt these are knockoffs.

Hi Vic

this must be be knock offs, they are also square and black ,lol. :)

Maybe it would be a good idea for some to read tech. specs before they make 'kind of looks statements'.

I have heard great things about this servo and many other Hyperion servos actually. The torque spec (@6v) is huge... 62.5 oz/in and holding torque is double that!

I can't believe stall current to be "only" .9A though unless that is current at dynamic torque. What's the max current the servo will draw? Anyone test this servo yet?
Thanks.

jr graupner has started to rebadge these hyperion servos.

This is also called the "graupner DES 448 BB MG"

Although I think the hyperion range is made by inolad. or they are rebadged again........
