made a proto type with 2 LEDs pointed at each other in a clear plastic tube.
but that didn't look right or give a strong enough glow. and i know you can
buy mini neon lamps would these be practicle?and if so how do you work them?

You can get little neon tubes that hook up to a button cell battery to put
on your car. You can also get electroluminescent light strips to have like
lit up wire to put wherever you want, and they have LEDs for headlights,
brake lights, turn indicators, and foglights. Here is a site that sells
them at a reasonable price:

Just to let you know that the lights aren't ground effects. I'm not sure what the lights are called but ground effects are parts of a body kit you put on underneath the door.

I always assumed ground effect were extra body panels that extended below
the normal floorline of the car. These included a front air dam, side
panels and possibly a rear skirt. They make the car look 'slammed' without
actually lowering the car. You can get the same effect by lowering your RC
body shell one or two notches on the body posts.

Oh. I didn't know what ground effects are, I just figured he was talking
about those neon lights. Didn't he say neon lights?

That's pretty cool. Can't wait to see someone overenthusiastic to try that
in 1/10 scale.
