Can I return my broken axi motor?

I read somewhere that I could return my broken axi gold motor to hobby-lobby where I bought it and have it replaced for half price. Is this true?
Also, the motor was purchased just a few months ago but if I have the receipt it's probably buried in my filing cabinet and that could take awhile to find. Is the receipt absolutely necessary? I do see the motor in my hobby-lobby.com order history. What info do I include with my return?

In the past they have honored replacement of in warranty equipment. Call them directly and explain your situation.

Here is the verbage there for AXI motors.
Look at the last part:
WARRANTY:
Hobby Lobby International, Inc. guarantees each Model Motors brand motor purchased from Hobby Lobby to be free from defects in materials or workmanship and to operate as advertised for a period of 24 months from the time of its original purchase. Hobby Lobby will replace the Model Motors brand motor at no charge except for return postage, if the motor fails to operate due to manufacturing defects within the first 24 months. Damage caused by modification, misuse, crashes and overheating is not covered under this warranty.

After the Warranty period: ;)
If your Model Motors electric motor fails for any reason after the 24 month warranty period Hobby Lobby will replace it at a cost of half of the current retail price of a new motor, plus shipping.

How to make a claim for a defective Model Motors motor:
Include along with the defective product, the original invoice or sales receipt for the motor, or a copy of one of them. Ask for "replacement of this motor under the 24 month warranty."

This warranty does not cover repair or replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear, or damage resulting from misuse or accidents.
