Hi,
I need some designs for a device that is able to measure the thrust of a prop.
Ideally it needs to be really simple to build and can be used without any fancy calculations, but with just a set of kitchen scales. It doesn't need to be heavy duty either as it will be used on small motors (mostly coreless motors).
Thanks, Alex

Easy. Put the scale on an overhanging shelf. Make a "C" shaped frame and hang the top bar of the "C" from the platform of the scale so the bottom bar hangs under the shelf. Mount the motor with prop, batteries, etc. on the bottom of the "C" so the thrust will be downward. Set the tare of the scale with everything ready to run. Turn on the motor and read the scale. That's all there is to it.
