Hi all ,just recently finished a Seagull 150 size GeeBee Z.
Installed a Saito 170R3 for power & used struts from unitracts UK for the main gear plus big wheels at low pressure to stop the dreaded Geebee bounce on landing.
Futaba 2.4 6EX radio with Hitec HS 5475HB digitals for all but the rudder which has a HS645MG.
Came out on the heavy side due to the 170R3 ..AUW 13.8lb.
Fitted an Xoar 17X6 wood for the first flight & have just received a Xoar 17x7 & 17x8 plus a Menz 16x8 to try out.
Used a Pro glow ( lion electronics ) glow driver with OS F plugs on the 170.
Some video's on utube of run up & taxi test Plus the first flight ..nothing special for the first flight , trim up & a couple of passes , it is a bit deceptive in the video looks like she is flying pretty slow due to no clouds etc to gauge it by but flew at a nice scale speed.
Will be interesting to see what performance these other Props produce and I love the sound of the 3 cylinder Saito.
