I've been on the fringe of the RC Helicopter hobby for probably 20+
years, and I have never had the money, or time, or what-nots, all lined
up correctly at the same time. That has now changed, sort of- A person
is offering me his heli setup for $300, and I was wondering if there
might be some guidance from the list as far as if this is worth it?
What he has told me so far is thus:
"I've got basically an entire RC Heli kit with everything you'll need to
fly it. All you need to do is spend a little time tweaking it, and buy
gas. You'll probably have to spend maybe $30 or so more dollars on
little knick nacks here and there but this heli is fairly complete. Its
a concept 30 dx so its a very mature and stable platform to work and
learn from. It is a .30 size gas engine."
I know this info is sparse, and that the rc heli world is quite
different from the time this bird was made. What I would like to know
is if its worth the money to learn & build on, or should I go a
different route?
Thanks!
