Looking to use a dx5e (the radio) for a weight sensitive application.
Can't find out how much the transmitter actually weighs.
Does anyone have this radio, and if so, could you weigh it?
Thank you,
Mach

Do you mean the receiver ?, (the thing that goes in the plane). As the transmitter is the thing you usually hold.
If you do mean the receiver, the AR500 weighs 7grams.

Try asking in the Radios forum (http://www.rcgroups.com/radios-135/), (just above this one).
There is a much better chance of DX5e users reading and posting there.
Make sure you spell out it's the transmitter weight your after, or you may get a load of posts like mine. :D

it is for a design project.
btw it weighs about 0.5 lbs less than the dx-7

What kind of design project would have the transmitter be weight critical? Are you designing a plane that has to be shipped RTF at a certain weight or something?

yes.
