The latest startup...'efflux RC' now has Skyworld 70mm EDFs. These units are offered as:
EDF unit only
EDF/motor combo (with 1.56" long, 3600kv inrunner)
EDF/motor/Alum Thrust Cone combo
The EDF body is 100% cnc machined aluminum. Included is the aluminum Motor Fairing which works in conjunction with the EDF body as a heat sink to draw heat away from the motor very rapidly The motor/body/fairing clearance is very tight and is intended to be assembled using the (free) supplied Thermal Transfer Compound.
The 8 bladed rotor is 30% glass filled nylon.
The units have been static tested by us here at efflux RC to 1285 watts @ 70-80 Amps (settled) on a 4500mah, 30c, 4s lipo. (5s testing, coming soon)Here is the BENCH TEST: (please note that the RPM calibration was set incorrectly, and actual rpms were 44642 rpm)
