Hello All,
I've got 3 planes with 3 different ESC's and all with an AXI 4130/16 spinning a Dynathrust 16x8 prop. All 3 make a TWANG sound near full throttle. This is not an ESC timing SCREECH problem, this is a TWANG sound. I've tried an APC 16x6 wide and still get the TWANG noise. The motors are reverse mounted using the AXI prop adapdor. It almost sounds like the bell is vibrating. 2 of the 3 setups have had the magnets come loose at one time or another. Power input is about 1200 Watts or so with a 6 cell Lipo. The motors are quiet with no prop and full throttle.

Has anyone heard of this?????

Here is the reply from Model Motors (AXI).
JB

Dear Sir,

sorry for delay in my email till 28th August we are on holiday. The problem
seems to be when reglued magnets rotary is much more unballanced which menas
vibrations which can menas magnet or rotary at certain RPm na touch stator
and can cause more damage. Also even very small piece of feromagnetical
particle entering motor or piece of magnet can mean this destruction. I
suggest to cotanct Hobby Lobby if you purchase there. In case of guarantee
motor problem then should give you new motor. In case of old motor crashed
or damaged other way as this way they will offer half price new motor.

Please excuse if I will not react till 28th August till this date I'm on
holiday.

Have a great day.
