I saw a cub a while back that was covered in fabric then painted military green. it looked awesome! go for the fabric if you want a realistic look..

Hello Kitman,
I've used Monokote military flats, the olive drab and also tan. They go on exactly like regular M' kote, same temperature, shrink, etc.
If you want a "Fabric" look, there is a product called "LiteSpan" sold by hobby-Lobby.com. It looks very much like doped silkspan once applied. It is not self-adhesive, you must use a bonding agent like balsaLoc or Stix-it.
You brush the framework with the adhesive, then "iron" the covering material onto the framework, much like a regular iron-on. You can also heat shrink it the same way, either with a heat gun or the iron.
It looks good as is, but can also be painted with just about any type of model paint, including dope.
Good Luck with the Cub!
Ron
