I just received my 94" Senior telemaster Arf last week. i bought the Red & White one. Im new to building and im having a hard time with certain things, for example the Control Rods from the Servos to the Elevator and Rudder was a major task for me. i had to get a professional builder involved. i thought i could handle this on my own but there were to many things i had to modify that the manual didnt cover. Im also converting mine to electric and i havent even started on that yet.
my next task is going to be the Wing. i dont like the idea of Rubber bands and want to try and see if i can bolt the Wings on by screws. How is this possible? or can i actually use rubber bands. is that recommendable? and do i really need struts? im not sure how to mount the struts on. This is becoming a major job for me but i do need the experience. I hate to bother my friends all the time for i want to learn this on my own so can anyone upload some photos of your Senior telemaster? photos can tell a lot.

photos of struts on fuse and wing,,,,,,how u bolted on your wing with screws,,,,,and how your servo tray looks and finally your electric setup. i have a Roxxy motor with a turnigy sentilon 100hv esc and a 6s. that's gonna be my electric setup i cant wait to fly it. This is my first build for all my other planes i got used and already build.
Any comments and support will be greatly appreciated.

The uploaded Photo shows just the Telemaster Wing sitting on top of my Worlds Engine Robin Hood. Hmmmm now that looks like a nice project. Flying a Telemaster wing on a Robin Hood. Looks like a perfect match.

Here is my mod for bolt-on wing:

First, I cut the covering behind the leading edge on the top wing side. I also cut out the balsa wood cover and measured a piece of 1/8" plywood sheet that would fit right between the two ribs (see picture). This will serve as reinforcement for the front section of the wing. The trailing edge area comes already reinforced.
Then, I measured the width of the fuselage where the wing leading and trailing edge area would meet the fuselage. I cut a 1/4" plywood sheet to length, about 2" wide and epoxied it right behind fuselage spar number 2 and right in front of spar 3. Use small plywood sticks and epoxy them right under the sheets for support. I am using 1/4-20 plastic screws with washers and blind nuts to hold the wing in place.

I set up my TM for aerotow. So my power requirements are much higher than yours. I am using an E-Flite 160 with a CC 85-HV, two 5S-4800 in series, 20x8 prop

I think the 4-40 nylon bolts is a typo meant to be 1/4-20.

I've started a yellow one myself recently. Wings and tail will be bolt-on. The decals peel off easily.

Here are some thread I found useful:

I import these things into Europe, go to www.telemastersalesuk.co.uk. I found some of the instructions confusing and I have built over 30 models!

The elevator pushrods go over the top of the tail-plane, (stabilizer or empenage in American parlance :D) It looks rather ugly to me but it works. Make sure that you choose one of the forward holes in the servo plate to mount the elevator servo. In this way the pushrod is the correct length to activate the elevator. I put mine in one of the rear holes and had to shorten the pushrod by sawing a piece off the pushrod wire!

I attach the wing to the fuselage using the elastic bands. A bolt-on system would look much better but I had to build the model as per instructions for a magazine article, besides for a beginner the bands offer some give in case of a heavy landing thereby reducing damage. The article was published in the July edition of the British magazine, "Aviation Modeller International." You may be able to order a back-copy.

I strongly recommend fitting struts especially if you're going to band the wings on. If you glue the wing-halves together to make up a one-piece wing you might get away with not fitting struts, but an eight-foot wing might pose storage or transportation problems. I use the stock mountings in the fuselage and threaded rods epoxied into the hard points in the wings. I then bolted some aluminium strip to the struts with a hole in the end to slip over the threaded rod. The strut is then secured to to the wing with a nyloc nut. I send all of my customers my own instructions which I've called "Strutting My Stuff" with every ARTF I sell. The Senior Telemaster Builder's Kit incidentally does not feature struts at all but the original Telemaster with the inset ailerons, the so-called "barn door ailerons," featured two struts to each wing.

I'll see if I can get a picture of my strut attachment posted on line, but I'm not very good with computers. I'll also try to attach "Strutting My Stuff."

Finally finished my 94" Senior Telemaster. I stuck with the Rubber band setup. It was really really strong. I flew all day and not 1 issue with the rubber band setup. So i opted out to modify it for screws. My Electric set up is a Roxxy Outrunner Motor, a 3850 5s Lipo, a 60a esc and a 18x10E prop. I am using the struts and they do help. I really like this plane and it Flies really steady. So steady i can do low passes really slow. I have a 81" JR piper cub and and when i try to do low passes very slow it wants to stall very easily but with this Telemaster it doesnt want to stall at all. It's amazing how good this plane Flies. Here's a photo and a video Clip.

Comments please.......

I just installed servos in the tail. Very short pushrods easy install.
I used 'gorilla glue' to glue the wings together. No struts, rubber band wings on.
I did add a tow disconnect like the one above.

Wow so u have a 1 piece Wing Feathermerchant? I would like to see photos. I have a small car so i have to leave it as a two piece.
i really want a 12FT Telemaster but im holding off for fear that wont fit in my car too.
So im just enjoying the Hell out of my 94" WS TM. Here is another Video Clip. Im still using the Rubber Band Method which seems to be more than fine but those DAMM Struts are annoying. But they do look good on the Plane.
Other than that i have no complaints what so ever about this plane. It's the absolute Coolest High wing Plane on the planet...i'll probably end up getting the 12FT TM just for the hell of it.
