I have recently received three virus thru this newsgroup. All were caught by
nortons .I traced it to its source and it shows a few people who are in this
group. It is a stealth virus and will make changes to your comp.If you notice
you cant get critical updates anymore let me know I will send the cure. What
happens you will get a email saying its microsoft notifying you of an
update.Microsoft never notifies this way and you will inadvertantly have it
downloaded.Just thought I would pass this along in case some are having
problem .Better to be safe than sorry

You are not getting it through this actual NG. What has happened in that
somebody with an address book of emails addys from folks who participate
here has become infected. Since it is somebody with a good collection of
addresses from folks that participate here and in other R/C related NGs it
is probably a regular who participates often as well and trades email with
others who also participate here.

The virus raided the infected computer's address book and used all the
email addys in it to try and spread itself. You unfortunately just happened
to be in the address book as well along with many others here.
