Is it good, bad or just ugly?

I have one, it is fantastic.

It tracks probale better than any other 30 I have flown, and I have flown
most of them. Canopy slightly ugly but flight is fantastic.

Strange you should ask that, as the only experience I've had with a Caliber
was tonight when I had one her to be checked out and set up.

Is it good? I think so, apart from the belt driven tail (which I personally
have no love of, but that's just my opinion) It's a well designed heli with
a VERY uncomplicated "feel" to it. I DO like the belt driven MAIN rotor, so
it scored there for me too.

Is it bad? Nope, not even a little bit.

Is it ugly? I've thought so from the minute I saw the first pics of it, but
it's "different" in the flesh. It doesn't look NEARLY as ugly and it's
actually "attractive" in it's own ugly little way. I certainly wouldn't let
it's looks put me off buying and flying one.

I dont have one, but I have flown/set one up.

I think they are very good.. They fly very nicely and are very
stable... albeit a bit ugly, but then so was the Raptor until they
re-designed the canopy!

One of the good things about them is that you can change the radio
configuration between 'normal' swashplate control and eCCPM..

The only thing I wasn't too impressed with is the system they use for
'normal' swashplate mode... The collective servo is used to push and
pull a tray containing the cyclic servos. This is a good system in
itself, however the sliding tray on the Caliber design can be very
sloppy (its huge tray which rolls along bearings at each corner of
this tray which sits on a 'track'), so some accuracy can be lost here.
From what I've seen and flown, I would say it would be best to go for
the ECCPM arrangement. but this is only my humble opinion.

All in all it's a good heli for the price...but then they are very few
bad ones on the market.

The plastic clutch looks a bit off-putting as does the weedy looking blade
grips.
What length main blades does it use?
