Hello,
I am realtively new to e flight (started last fall) and would like to pay a visit to your field sometime. I could not tell for sure when your next club event (ROG) is scheduled. Is it 4/12 or some other date.
I am looking forward to meeting some fellow e flyers!
Thanks.

Hi mgerald,
We fly every Saturday morning at the VOA park where we have our regular flying site. Once a month we meet up at GCRCC where we can use the nice take-off / landing strip. You can find direction on our web site at www.voaflyers.org. Looking forward to meeting you.
Marcel.

mgerald, ROG at the GCRCC field was scheduled for this Sat., but was canceled, so we will be at our normal flying site at the VOA field.
Since the weather promises to be nice, it should be a good turnout this Saturday.
As marcel wrote, you can get directions on the VOA flyers (http://www.voaflyers.org) website

Thanks, I'll see if I can make it. If I am allowed out of the house if you catch my drift, nudge nudge, wink wink.

OK, lets's say I get let out on a weekend release!!!
And I show up with my battered SlowStick...
How much ridicule will I face? I only ask because I showed up once at another field with mostly glow flyers (nothing against them, I may rejoin their ranks this summer) and was definately given a tepid shoulder. The only saving grace was that I had been a member of their club in the past and a few people remembered me. They were only mildly interested in my flying thing.
I was a member before I put my hand in a gas powered APC prop (OUCHHHH). I quit for a while and them came back last fall with a SS.
Thanks.

Gerald,
Come on out with your slow stick!
We have seen several out there over time. We get everything from indoor flyers (calmest in the morning) to some larger wheeled planes, but most are s400 to s480 belly landers, +/- some brushless stuff.
Feel free to check it out. Our variety may quell your urge to return to the glow flyers! ;)

Mgerald,
I showed up for my first visit at VOA with my SlowStick and a Speed 400 plane. No ridicule, very nice bunch of people. :)
The only problem was, it was too windy that morning even for my underpowered Speed 400 plane so even taking the Slow Stick out of the car was out of the question.
If this Saturday morning is calm, I would bring the Slow Stick along!

Let's try to appease the wind gods for little or no wind (fat chance).
I actually have a Astro 010 brushless on my SlowStick but haven't had much of a chance to try it out yet.
Lets all chant...
No wind, no wind, no wind.
