Looking for RCM plans for a Scooter 2 pusher, had one w/.051 thought it would go well with electric 2204 54

The Scooter plans are still available from RCM plans:

Keep in mind they still provide the construction article when you buy the plan!

How heavy do they come out? A 2204/54 seems a lot less power than a .049.

If you can keep the weight reasonable, I agree.

My good friend Dickie Tichenor Never built anything light, but his stuff lasted forever! He's long since passed away, but his models always flew great. I think he would love to see an electric Scooter, just build it lighter! There used to be a phrase used back in the early days of electric, "heavily lightened". Enjoy!

I think this design would work very well for FPV.
Nice phrase "heavily lightenend" LOL

Glad to have helped anyone at all. :)
It was a great magazine. Too bad about that but atleast the plan service is still going strong.

Looks like a nice one for a Project....that tail boom is just made for a plug in unit...could be broken down really small for transportation

For some strange reason I couldn't resist posting this picture of the later, larger (65") Mark IV Scooter. Plan/article published RCM February 1980.
The small Scooter from RCM December 1975.

Thanks for the plan view and the picture. Makes it easier to find in the magazine pile. I vaguely remember the picture, but had forgotten all about this model. The larger version would certainly lend itself nicely for a camera plane. Many camera planes seem to have adopted a pusher prop at the back of the wing.

If you find you don't have enough power..... just add another motor :) This version from RCM April 1977.

I don't think that the model in the second photograph needs lightening!
