Hi Guys:
Spent a few days at the International Vintage Sailplane Meet.
I've updated the pics from Elmira - nicer now! :D
Amongst the vintage sailplanes that were thermaling, a Ventus C took off, towed only to 1000 ft into the same thermal. Turned on to a 45-50 degree angle and circled well inside the vintage ships maybe 2-300ft circle - and the Ventus went up like it was on an elevator up to cloud base (several of us agreed less than minuter!) and off it went - still had not returned 3 hrs later. Sort of like a Sailaire and a EVA!
I was so astounded that I did not take any video.
However, I have posted a few pics of ships that were at the IVSM. If anyone is interested in documentation pacs- email
