View Full Version : Rudder induced pitch question

In attempting knife-edge flight, I've found that the nose pitches down rather severely. This is on a MiniFlash, though I've encountered it before with other aircraft.

The more I practice, the better I am getting at compensating with up-elevator, but it's a handful on the sticks. Heavy rudder in level flight does the same thing. Is there a way to trim this out? I don't yet have a computer radio, and I would like to explore trim options before turning to electronic mixing.

Many aerobatic planes have the tendancy to tuck to the belly during knife edge. To correct for this, computer mixing is best, but moving the CG forward a little or raising the ailerons a small amount may help a little until you get a computer radio.

I'm hesitant to go forward with CG, as it barely snaps or spins right now. I may try the aileron adjustment.

I also located an aerobatic trimming guide or three on the 'net, will read up (and print out for the field).

Thanks,
Karl

Kinnic^2 can you post the links to the aerobatic setup

Thanks,

I found one page with several links, but they were all pretty much based on the same thing.
